After reading "And When You Leave, Take Your Pictures With You." I was able to understand that the writer had some type of anger towards white people. To my understanding this poem talks about white women not understanding women of color. They portary colored people in their pictures as being very happy and enjoying what they do. However in reality those women are not happy as they look in the photos in which they appear. They dont understand that they might  feel humiliated by working hard in the hot sun, cleaning up after them and their friends and taking care of their children. The white women seem to act as if they are on their side when in reality they aren't even sure about how they feel about them. They are in their side for being females but part of them does not allow them to get as close as they would like because of race. You could also tell they were more privileged  for being white because of their social class. Most of the white women were either middle or high class. As for "The Master Of Tools" it discussed the differences in womens lives and how the author feels that the theory of feminist is incomplete. It also states how women have been taught to ignore the differences and see them as separation instead of forces of change. In this case women felt they didn't belong, they felt not accepted by society because of how they were. Other people viewed them different. Either because they were black, lesbians or old. Some of those women had to stand alone and learn to how to survive on their own. Most of those women were the ones that took care of the white womens children while attending those confrences on feminist theory. The bad thing was that only white women were able to attend those meeetings while black women couldn't even though they both third world women. It was said that white women had educated themselves for several years. They belived black women should also educate themselves in the same way they had by both knowing the differences between black and white. Both of those poems can relate to one another by women not being understood by white women and trying to act like if they are their friends just because they are both women but in reality race is getting in between and it makes them fear to get closer to them. They also makes  feel more privileged because of their color and makes them think about it when trying to get closer to other women of color.
